Your engagement supports the zoo and strengthens the nature conservation and species protection!

We are glad that the town Bremerhaven has made the investments in the new Zoo am Meer possible and that they continuously support the zoo by institutional contributions. The future of this important attraction is thereby durably ensured. However besides this “basic securing” we need friends and sponsors for the real “zoo work” is only starting now. Therefore a lot of fellow-combatants are required engaging in this common cause. Only with this support the Zoo am Meer can cope with its task according to the world-zoo nature conservation strategy.

Because of the growing threat of animal and plant species, living spaces and ecological sys-tems the zoos have turned into active nature conservation centers within the last decades. In all these centers the species keeping and the presentation of ecological relations are in the foreground. Each year more than 600 millions of zoo visitors can be sensitized for the nature conservation and species protection world-wide using animals as ambassadors.

The zoo offers an unique chance to experience and to witness animals with all senses. Especially nowadays where the virtual computer world has often a higher rank than the real world it is very important to wake up and deepen the enthusiasm of the humans for the nature – most of all the responsibility of children and teenagers. Besides the scientific work relating to keeping, breeding and research of threatened animal species the sponsor associa-tion wants to support well-aimed the interest of the population for animals and plants as well as for environment and nature conservation.

So what do you have to do …
Simply down-load the Info Flyer (PDF), fill in the included membership form, mail it to the
sponsor association and have the following amount deducted by collection order from your account:

Annual fee (can be deducted from taxable income):

Individual person: at least EUR   30,--/year
Family/Married couple: at least EUR   45,--/year
Legal person: at least EUR 120,--/year

Of course we are glad to issue donation receipts for all further contributions. The members of the sponsor association are invited to a special guided tour backstage every year.
