Way of living
The animals tramp about hordes where as the composition and size of the horde can be very different. There exists an order of precedence among the animals.
Food
Most of all fruit, leaves, sprouts, nuts, eggs, insects, small and middle-sized mammals they have hunted by themselves
Propagation
Puberty with the age of 8-12 years, pregnancy approx. 225 days, mostly 1 young one
Body size
Weight: male: approx. 70 kg, female: approx. 50 kg
Size: male: max. 1,70 mtr
Maximum age
More than 55 years in human care
Live stock / Protection status
In some regions already died out, being subject to the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
